The Kiddiwinks are a London based rock band.

The band was first formed in the summer of 2016 by two lads who first met in a flat in Willesden Green and who shared a love for 60’s and 90’s British rock music.

In 2017 after a long search and some changes in the line-up a drummer was found and the three of them started working together and writing new songs with a new vibe, a new energy and defining their own sound.

The Kiddiwinks recently spent some time talking to The Songbird and it went something like this!

Hello and welcome! Please tell us a little bit about yourselves. Who are you, what’s your role within the band ?

Seph: Songwriter, Singer, Keys
Fab: Guitar, Backing Vocals
Harry: Bass

Who/What are your musical influences? What sort of genre would you consider your music to be?

Our musical influences have their roots in the rock’n roll scene, from 60’s beat to 2000’s indie. We consider our music to be a garage/pop rock, although our new stuff is already shifting to something way different with the advent of electronic sounds and the departure of the acoustic drum kit.

What’s your favourite song of yours and why?

Seph: Standing By The Wall. That song encloses the best of the lessons I learnt in a very important phase of my life and it is an invitation to rid of one’s fears for the future.
Fab: Dance With You. It’s groovy
Harry: As A Stranger. It has some sexy vibe to it.

What do you consider the best lyric you’ve ever written to be?

Standing By The Wall“So give up the beliefs that don’t let you live the way you want to, cause in time you will see that you’ve got all the freedom to truly be you”

What’s your favourite song of all time by any other band/artist and why?

Can’t really answer to this question cause every song can be the best in delivering something specific. You can’t say you prefer The Beatles’ Helter Skelter over The Rolling Stones’ Satisfaction, they’re two complete different songs, with different vibes and both are perfect in delivering what they are.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Mostly pop, a lot of Billie Eilish.

What’s going on with you at the moment? Do you have any gigs planed or upcoming events?

At the moment we’re working on a single we want to release very soon, upcoming gig on the 2nd of November at the Finborough Arms in Earl’s Court.

What’s been the best gig you’ve played so far and what would be your dream gig to play?

4th of May 2019 at The Water Rats King’s Cross, London, for This Feeling.
Dream gig we would say Glastonbury.

Who would you most like to share a stage with (past or present)?

What’s the best thing and worst thing about being in a band?Best thing. Best thing :Expenses
Worst thing: Wages

What three words best sum you up as a band?
